Over 1,000 On-site Interviews Conducted, 7 Final Passes... 100 Pass First Round Document Screening
Hanam City is holding a job fair at the 2nd Gymnasium of Hanam Sports Complex to match Hanam citizens seeking employment with companies looking for talent. Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) successfully held a job fair at the 2nd Gymnasium of Hanam Sports Complex, matching Hanam citizens seeking employment with companies looking for talent, bringing a positive breeze to the job market.
According to Hanam City on the 23rd, Hanam City and the Hanam Employment Welfare Plus Center co-hosted the ‘2024 Hanam City Job Fair’ on the 22nd. Among the approximately 1,000 visitors to the event, 7 candidates were finally hired through on-site interviews, and 100 passed the first document screening.
Additionally, 150 candidates are preparing for second interviews through resume screenings for 22 companies participating via indirect recruitment. Three companies, including Hanam Urban Corporation and Bobath Hospital, will notify those who passed the first document screening later among the total 200 applicants on the day.
This job fair was held with the participation of 43 medium-sized and small but strong companies, including Lotte Medical Foundation Hanam Bobath Hospital, Costco, and Coupang (21 direct recruitment companies and 22 indirect recruitment companies).
The event operated a total of 34 booths, including △ 21 Recruitment ZONE booths (on-site interviews between recruiting companies and job seekers) △ 9 Employment Support ZONE booths (job registration reception, counseling desks, resume writing consulting, etc.) △ 4 Experience ZONE booths (resume photo shoots, fingerprint aptitude tests, etc.).
At the recruitment interview booths, 10 companies located near Hanam City, including Seoul and Gyeonggi Province, and ‘Really Good Small and Medium Enterprises’ selected by the Korea Federation of SMEs participated.
Furthermore, at the Employment Support ZONE booths involving related organizations, various support events such as job registration, indirect recruitment resume reception, stress counseling, and resume writing consulting were conducted, increasing participant satisfaction.
At the Experience ZONE booths, side events that could be enjoyed lightly were held, including ‘Personal Color Diagnosis’ to help interviewees find colors that suit them, fingerprint aptitude tests, and employment tarot readings.
One participant who passed the final interview and realized their dream of employment said, “I knocked on the door of the Hanam City Job Fair to freely pursue my dreams at a workplace with great future potential, and I am happy to receive good results.” They added, “I am grateful to Hanam City for helping me overcome my fear of employment and make a strong start as a newcomer to society.”
Mayor Lee Hyun-jae stated, “Hanam City will do its best to ensure that the job fair leads to actual employment through follow-up management and support even after the event ends.” He emphasized, “We will also continue efforts to alleviate employment difficulties by implementing programs to support startups and expand youth employment, as well as strengthening customized vocational training for middle-aged and older adults.”
