The KOSPI is showing a firm upward trend around the 2570 level due to purchases by foreigners and institutions.

As of 9:50 AM on the 23rd, the KOSPI recorded 2,577.68, up 11.93 points (0.46%) compared to the previous trading day.


By investor type, individuals are net sellers with 27.1 billion KRW. In contrast, foreigners and institutions are net buyers with 18.5 billion KRW and 14.5 billion KRW, respectively.


By industry sector, electrical and electronics, transportation equipment, manufacturing, and steel and metals are showing firm gains. Meanwhile, the distribution sector is down 1.44%. Additionally, telecommunications, medical precision, securities, and services sectors are in slightly negative territory.


Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics is trading at 57,800 KRW, up 100 KRW (0.17%) from the previous trading day. LG Energy Solution and Hyundai Motor have risen more than 2%. SK Hynix, Samsung Biologics, and Shinhan Financial Group have also increased by more than 1%. Conversely, Samsung C&T Corporation is down 2.35%.


The KOSDAQ recorded 737.97, down 0.37 points (0.05%).


By investor type, individuals are net buyers with 19.8 billion KRW. In contrast, foreigners and institutions are net sellers with 17.6 billion KRW and 0.6 billion KRW, respectively.


By industry sector, non-metallic minerals rose 1.79%. Transportation equipment and parts, and finance sectors are showing firm gains. Meanwhile, entertainment and culture fell 1.25%. Pharmaceuticals, transportation, distribution, and chemicals are in slightly negative territory.


Among the top market capitalization stocks, Alteogen traded at 380,000 KRW, down 3,500 KRW (0.91%) from the previous trading day. Pharma Research fell 4.12%. HLB and Hugel are also down more than 2%. Conversely, EcoPro BM, EcoPro, Enchem, and Lino Industrial are showing firm gains.
