Business consultations were held between companies from both countries related to raw materials and mineral resources, and a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between the Korea Importers Association and the Kazakhstan Export Promotion Center to expand trade and strengthen cooperation.
Chairman Kim Byung-kwan said in his opening remarks, “Kazakhstan is the largest economy and a resource-rich country in Central Asia. It is very meaningful to dispatch the Korea Importers Association import delegation at a significant time when cooperation between the two countries is being further strengthened following President Yoon Suk-yeol’s state visit to Kazakhstan in June this year. I hope that this visit will serve as an opportunity to further activate exchanges between the two countries in various items, including Kazakhstan’s excellent mineral resources.”
Karimov Azamat Kairatovich, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Trade and Integration, emphasized, “The two countries have maintained friendly relations in various fields such as trade and investment for many years. Especially, as we are striving to develop and expand exports of mineral resources, I am confident that the signing of this MOU will increase trade volume between the two countries.”
