Discussion on Changes in Future Security Environment
National Police Agency Chief: "Committed to International Security Cooperation"

The National Police Agency announced on the 23rd that it will hold the "1st Interpol Future Policing Conference" together with the Interpol General Secretariat at Songdo Convensia in Incheon until the 25th.

The conference will be attended by Interpol officials including J?rgen Stock, Secretary General of Interpol, and Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, President of Interpol, as well as over 90 law enforcement officials from 37 countries worldwide, including Canada, Japan, Germany, and the United Arab Emirates.


Under the theme "Changes in the Future Policing Environment and Preparedness of Law Enforcement Agencies," panel discussions will be held. Specifically, discussions will cover ▲ predicting the future of law enforcement through global megatrends ▲ the impact of future changes on law enforcement agencies ▲ coordination and preparedness of law enforcement for the future. The National Police Agency and Interpol plan to establish future policing strategies going forward.


Jo Ji-ho, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, emphasized, "To respond to new threats and challenges arising from technological advancements, continuous innovation and cooperation are necessary," adding, "The National Police Agency of the Republic of Korea will also do its best to advance international policing cooperation."
