N? Life Skills School Recruiting Trainees for Waterproofing Technician Certification Course
Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 22nd that it is recruiting trainees for the Waterproofing Technician certification course at the N+ Life Skills School, targeting retirees, unemployed individuals, and job seekers dreaming of a second career, until the 25th.
The Waterproofing Technician is a technical certification responsible for preventing water from seeping into buildings from the basement to the roof. Due to recent climate change, the demand for waterproofing construction has surged, increasing employment opportunities in this field.
Accordingly, the city plans to provide this certification course through the N+ Life Skills School, which offers customized technical education to strengthen reemployment and job competitiveness for middle-aged and older adults, and will conduct practical, hands-on training.
This certification course is practice-oriented and consists of ▲functions and construction purposes of waterproofing ▲surface treatment and reinforcement sheet attachment ▲main sheet attachment ▲attachment of the main sheet to the floor and pipe connections ▲work status inspection ▲and a practical mock exam.
The training will be conducted in two sessions, each consisting of 30 hours of intensive education over 5 days. The first session runs from October 31 to November 8, and the second session from November 14 to 22.
Each session will select 10 trainees, who upon completion of the course, can take the national certification exam scheduled for November.
Applications can be submitted through the Dasan Seodang website. Final successful candidates will be announced on October 28 after evaluation through a lottery and individual interviews assessing willingness to participate and future applicability of the training content.
