HS Hyosung Advanced Materials announced that it will participate in the 'CARBON KOREA 2024' exhibition held from the 23rd to the 25th at the aT Center Exhibition Hall 1 in Yangjae, Seoul.
The Carbon Korea exhibition is the only domestic industrial exhibition for sharing technology trends in carbon materials, intermediate goods, and application parts, hosted by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and organized by the Korea Carbon Industry Promotion Agency and the Korea Carbon Nano Industry Association. More than 70 domestic and international companies will participate in the exhibition at 'CARBON KOREA 2024,' alongside an international conference featuring invited experts from various fields.
At this exhibition, HS Hyosung Advanced Materials will showcase high-strength carbon fiber yarns for high-pressure vessels with improved tensile strength, as well as high-pressure vessels made from carbon fiber, seat cross members which are structural parts for electric vehicles, golf shafts, and tennis rackets. Additionally, through customer meetings, the company plans to promote its proprietary carbon fiber brand 'TANSOME®,' strengthen customer relationships in the high-pressure vessel market, and seek new customers in various industrial sectors where carbon fiber applications are possible.
HS Hyosung Advanced Materials independently developed the high-strength carbon fiber 'TANSOME®' in 2011, which is one-quarter the weight of steel but over 10 times stronger. Through continuous technological development, the company succeeded in developing the ultra-high-strength carbon fiber ‘H3065 (T1000 grade)’ in 2022, which has a strength more than 14 times that of steel, laying the foundation for entry into high value-added carbon fiber markets such as aerospace.
Meanwhile, HS Hyosung Advanced Materials has been continuously expanding production facilities domestically and internationally through ongoing investment in carbon fiber, a future growth engine. The company also actively participates in overseas market expansion by regularly attending Asia’s largest international composite materials industry fair 'CCE' and North America’s largest composite materials exhibition 'CAMX.'
