Special Online Pre-Order Sale for Sonyoni Onda and Chaesikjuuija
Emart24 announced on the 22nd that it will be the first convenience store chain to offer online pre-orders of books by Han Kang, the Nobel Prize in Literature laureate.
The pre-sale books are Han Kang's representative works, Boyhood (13,500 KRW) and The Vegetarian (13,500 KRW), with 300 copies each available for limited sale in two rounds through pre-order pickup on the Emart24 mobile app.
In the first sale, which runs until midnight on the 23rd of this month, 150 copies of Boyhood by Han Kang will be offered. Customers can pick up their books at the Emart24 store of their choice within 7 days starting from the 30th.
The second sale will take place from the 28th to the 30th of this month. During the second sale, 150 additional copies of Boyhood and 300 copies of The Vegetarian will be available for limited purchase. Books purchased during this period can be collected at the selected store within 7 days starting from the 6th of next month.
Lee Tak-gyu, Partner of the Emart24 Service Platform Team, said, "To commemorate Han Kang's Nobel Prize in Literature, which has written a new chapter in Korean literature, we are conducting this special online pre-sale," adding, "We plan to continue developing various cultural content service products so that customers can easily access culture and the arts through convenience stores anywhere in the country."
Meanwhile, Emart24 has been collaborating with various cultural and artistic industries. Last year, Emart24 offered pre-orders for the limited edition album of Jo Yong-pil, and this year, it sold albums by the famous American singer Taylor Swift and the girl group STAYC.
