Gyeonggi Province will hold an opening event for the former governor's residence, 'Dodamso.'
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 22nd that it will open the former Gyeonggi Province governor's residence, Dodamso, located in Paldal-gu, Suwon City, for nighttime visits from 5 PM to 9 PM on the 25th and 26th, and will hold the 'Dodam Night Walk' event.
This event, held for the second time following May, will operate at night under the theme "Gyeonggi Province creating hope and change by lighting a new light in the darkness," offering residents a unique experience under the starlight at Dodamso.
On the first day, the 25th, the event will begin with a performance where residents turn a bicycle generator to light up the Dodamso signboard, followed by ▲ a tour of the 'New ABC (Aerospace, Bio, Climate Tech) Salon,' emerging as new growth engines ▲ viewing of the environmental film "At the End of Civilization" ▲ and a starlight salon talk with film director Lim Ki-woong and PAPER editor-in-chief Jung Yoo-hee.
The second day, the 26th, will feature relaxation programs including heart yoga, singing bowl meditation and slow yoga, busking performances, and pottery experiences.
Since its completion in 1967, the governor's residence has been used as the living and working space for successive governors. It has been transformed into a communication space for residents under the 8th elected administration and was renamed 'Dodamso,' meaning "a space containing the residents," through a naming contest held in August 2022.
