Focused Discussion on Detailed Review and Promotion Directions by Field

Goyang City Holds 2nd Meeting of the 'Science High School Establishment TF Team' Goyang Special City held the "2nd Meeting of the Goyang Science High School Establishment TF Team" on the 16th at the Goyang Office of Education to designate a new science high school.

Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 21st that it held the "2nd Goyang City Science High School Establishment TF Team Meeting" on the 16th at the Goyang Office of Education to designate a new science high school.


The meeting was attended by ▲ Kim Jong-gu, Director of Education and Culture Bureau of Goyang City Hall ▲ Kim Jae-kyung, Director of Education Bureau, Woo Ho-sam, Director of Administration Bureau, and Kim Sang-yong, Director of School Support Bureau of Goyang Office of Education, as well as ▲ officials in charge of the practical work for establishing the science high school from the Secondary Education Support Division, Planning and Management Division, Financial Management Division, and Educational Facilities Division of the Goyang Office of Education.


During the meeting, detailed contents by area were reviewed based on the drafted first proposal, and the direction for preparing the final plan was discussed in depth.


In particular, various efforts were made, such as analyzing local industries and resources and forming a consulting advisory committee, to create a "Gyeonggi-type Science High School" reflecting regional characteristics emphasized by Gyeonggi Provincial Superintendent of Education Lim Tae-hee.


A city official stated, "We plan to carefully review the matters discussed at the 2nd TF Team meeting, supplement and reflect them in the plan, and prepare to submit the optimal application by November."


The city will continue consultations with related organizations to ensure smooth preparation in line with the November application submission schedule.
