President Yoon Suk-yeol and People Power Party leader Han Dong-hoon met in Yongsan on the afternoon of the 21st and discussed national issues for about 80 minutes.
The Presidential Office stated that President Yoon and Leader Han met at 'Pine Grass,' the outdoor garden in front of the Yongsan Presidential Office building, and exchanged opinions on major national issues. The meeting, which began around 4:54 PM, lasted 81 minutes until 6:15 PM.
The meeting between President Yoon and Leader Han was the first in about two and a half months since a private meeting lasting about 90 minutes on July 30, attended by Chief Secretary Jeong Jin-seok.
On that day, President Yoon, after getting out of the car, shook hands with Leader Han and continued their conversation while taking a walk together for about 10 minutes on the Pine Grass lawn near the children's garden. The walk was attended by Chief Secretary Jeong Jin-seok and Presidential Office Political Affairs Chief Hong Cheol-ho, and it was reported that the walk was not a private meeting between President Yoon and Leader Han.
President Yoon talked with Leader Han about the stories of four police heroes honored this year, including the late Sergeant Lee Jae-hyun, in commemoration of 'Police Day.'
President Yoon also explained that the meeting, originally scheduled for 4:30 PM, started late due to a reception with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy. He also mentioned a phone call with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte.
Moving inside Pine Grass, President Yoon began the meeting with Leader Han, attended by Chief Secretary Jeong. Sitting down, President Yoon continued the conversation by saying, "Our Leader Han Dong-hoon."

For refreshments, President Yoon had an iced Americano, and Leader Han drank zero-calorie cola, with fruit served as well. It is known that President Yoon personally instructed to prepare zero-calorie cola, which Leader Han prefers.
During the meeting, both sides reportedly exchanged opinions on current issues without limiting the agenda. It appears that President Yoon and Leader Han mainly discussed suspicions surrounding First Lady Kim Geon-hee and possible solutions.
Previously, Leader Han publicly announced 'three major demands' including the suspension of First Lady Kim's external activities, cooperation in procedures to clarify suspicions, and personnel reshuffling in the Presidential Office. It is said that President Yoon listened attentively to Leader Han's opinions on these matters. Discussions were also held regarding the scale of medical school admissions, on which there had been disagreements between the ruling party and the government.
Specific details of the meeting will be disclosed by Party Leader Secretary Park Jeong-ha in a briefing at the National Assembly. The Presidential Office spokesperson will provide a written briefing.
