Ministry of Foreign Affairs Summons Russian Ambassador to South Korea... Protest Over 'Deployment of North Korean Troops'

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Russian Ambassador to South Korea to protest over the issue of North Korean troop deployment.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that it summoned Georgy Zinoviev, the Russian Ambassador to South Korea, around 2 p.m. on the 21st. It is believed that Kim Hong-gyun, the First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Ambassador Zinoviev to express concerns and protest against Russia's acceptance of North Korea's special forces deployment and the strengthening of illegal military cooperation.

The government is reportedly discussing various measures, including independent sanctions, regarding North Korea's troop deployment.

Meanwhile, the government also summoned Ambassador Zinoviev in June to protest against North Korea and Russia signing a treaty equivalent to a military alliance.
