Advance Disclosure of Festival Food Prices, Public-Private Joint TF Operation
On the 18th, Yeoju City conducted a joint public-private inspection and a campaign to eradicate overcharging at the Yeoju Ogoknaru Festival site. Yeoju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Chung-woo) announced on the 21st that on the 18th, a joint public-private guidance and inspection, as well as a campaign to eradicate overcharging, were conducted at the Yeoju Ogoknaru Festival site. This campaign was organized to inform citizens, tourists, and merchants participating in the festival about fair pricing and to raise awareness about overcharging.
The campaign involved Yeoju City, the Yeoju branch of the Consumer Education Central Association, and Yeoju price monitoring agents, who provided information on how to report overcharging and consumer rights. Through this, they plan to support citizens in experiencing a fair consumption environment.
The city has been conducting continuous guidance and inspections to eradicate overcharging since the 14th and will continue educational and promotional activities throughout the Ogoknaru Festival period.
Sim Kyung-seop, head of the public-private joint TF and Director of the Economic and Environmental Bureau, stated, “We will do our best to ensure that citizens and tourists can enjoy a safe and pleasant festival,” and emphasized, “We ask for the active cooperation of merchants and citizens to maintain fair prices.”
Additionally, price information for festival food is being disclosed on the Yeoju Ogoknaru Festival website bulletin board to enhance convenience for tourists.
