On this day, a temporary clinic was set up at Ssangyong C&E Donghae Plant Comprehensive Technical Training Center for residents of nearby areas such as Samhwa-dong, Donghae City. About 50 volunteers, including medical staff from Dongguk University Ilsan Oriental Medicine Hospital and Ssangyong C&E employees, participated together.

Ssangyong C&E operated vehicles continuously from 30 minutes before the start of medical treatment to shuttle between the village hall and the temporary clinic, enabling residents who had difficulty traveling long distances to receive medical care more easily. Various activities were also conducted to ensure smooth medical services.

In addition, along with separate medical staff including Kim Dong-il, director of Dongguk University Ilsan Oriental Medicine Hospital, home-visit medical services were provided by directly visiting residents with mobility difficulties.

Residents carefully filled out medical questionnaires to receive oriental medical treatment. After consulting with medical staff about their usual health conditions, they underwent blood pressure and blood sugar tests, acupuncture, physical therapy, and received prescriptions. The questionnaires and test results completed by the residents will be used as data for future health management of the local community.

Director Kim Dong-il said, "I feel very honored to be able to provide medical volunteer services to residents in medically underserved areas together with Ssangyong C&E for many years," adding, "We plan to further expand outreach medical services such as home visits so that even those with mobility difficulties can receive high-quality medical benefits."

A Ssangyong C&E official stated, "This year marks the 12th year of conducting oriental medical volunteer activities with Dongguk University Ilsan Oriental Medicine Hospital to improve the health and quality of life of residents facing difficulties due to lack of medical infrastructure," and added, "Since we have received positive evaluations from the local community and residents, we will continue to carry out more diverse social contribution activities to fulfill our corporate social responsibility."

Meanwhile, Ssangyong C&E recently signed a mutual business support agreement with the social welfare corporation Together Living Gangwon World and Dongguk University Ilsan Oriental Medicine Hospital to expand oriental medical support for the health promotion of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province residents.
