Achieving 1 Trillion KRW in Sales for 3 Consecutive Years
Daedong announced on the 21st that Won Yoo-hyun, Vice Chairman of Daedong, received the ‘Innovation CEO Award’ in recognition of his contribution to leading the future of domestic agriculture based on artificial intelligence (AI) at the ‘Innovation Cluster Society 2024 Fall Academic Conference’ held at the National Hanbat University in Daejeon, hosted by the Innovation Cluster Society.
The Innovation Cluster Society was founded in 2007 for theoretical research and policy development on innovation clusters necessary for national industry and regional development, with approximately 300 members including university professors, policy experts, and businesspeople actively participating.

This year, the society established the ‘Innovation CEO Award’ and selected Vice Chairman Won as the first recipient based on criteria such as innovative management strategies, sustainable growth, social responsibility, technological innovation, and strengthening global competitiveness. Park Sung-wook, President of the Innovation Cluster Society, explained, “He was selected for his contribution to promoting Daedong’s growth through innovative leadership and management methods, as well as enhancing regional economic development and social value.”
After being appointed CEO of Daedong in 2020, Vice Chairman Won declared the corporate vision of a ‘future agriculture leading company’ and began promoting the ‘business transformation’ of the 70-year-old agricultural machinery company. In this regard, Daedong is driving the ‘AI-driven great transformation of domestic agriculture’ through five future businesses: AI-based smart agricultural machinery, smart mobility, smart farms, AI robotics, and small construction equipment.
To this end, Daedong Group has pursued organizational restructuring and management efficiency through digital transformation at the group level, achieving sales of 1 trillion won for the first time in the company’s history in 2021 and maintaining sales of 1 trillion won for three consecutive years until last year. Vice Chairman Won stated, “We will do our best to ensure that the future agriculture Daedong is creating becomes the foundation for the sustainable development of domestic agriculture and the enhancement of agricultural industry competitiveness.”
