Busan City to Host the '2024 Busan JOB Festival'

Job Fair at BEXCO on the 24th from 10 AM to 5 PM

Over 200 Participating Companies and Organizations Offer Various Programs

Busan City will hold the ‘2024 Busan Job Festival’ jointly with Busan Bank on October 24th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1.

The city and the regional financial institution Busan Bank have planned this job fair together so that recruiting companies can discover the talent they need, and job seekers can find the companies they desire and realize their dreams.


In particular, several related organizations such as the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office, and Busan Regional Small and Medium Venture Business Administration are also participating as organizers, actively cooperating to enable excellent local companies to participate in the fair, making its significance even greater.


This year’s event is diversely composed of substantial programs including the opening ceremony, ▲Recruitment Hall ▲Special Hall ▲Promotion Hall ▲Employment Consulting Hall ▲Employment Lectures & Recruitment Briefings ▲Side Event Hall ▲On-site Events.


The opening ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on the 24th. Key officials including the city’s Deputy Mayor will attend to celebrate the opening and tour the exhibition hall.


A total of about 200 companies will participate in the ‘Recruitment Hall,’ where on-site face-to-face interviews and recruitment consultations will be conducted for job seekers.


By industry, visitors can meet various companies ranging from manufacturing to service sectors, including ▲‘Future Growth Industry Hall’ for tourism, MICE, and information technology (IT) industries ▲‘Eco-friendly Smart Marine Mobility Hall’ composed of shipbuilding and marine equipment companies ▲‘Mechanical Parts Industry Hall’ for manufacturing sectors such as automobiles and machinery.


Also, to accommodate job seekers of all ages, the fair includes ▲‘Busan City Excellent Companies Hall’ focusing on employment-excellent and youth-attractive companies ▲‘Middle-aged & Senior Hall’ specialized for middle-aged and elderly job seekers.


As ‘Special Halls,’ visitors can explore ▲‘Busan Metropolitan City Hall’ promoting Busan’s employment policies and ▲‘Busan Bank Hall’ promoting the bank itself. In the ‘Promotion Hall,’ related organizations such as the Busan Economic Promotion Agency and Busan Regional Employment and Labor Office will promote their ongoing employment projects. The ‘Employment Consulting Hall’ will also operate, providing comprehensive counseling on career paths, employment, and life planning for youth to middle-aged (senior) individuals.


Additionally, practical employment lectures helpful for interview preparation and recruitment briefings from four companies will be provided.


Kang Min-hyuk, CEO and operator of the YouTube channel ‘Kang Min-hyuk,’ will share ‘2024 Second Half Employment Trends and Interview Preparation Tips.’


The companies participating in the recruitment briefings are ▲Korea Racing Authority ▲Korea Asset Management Corporation ▲Elephant Factory ▲WinzyD Korea, each presenting company introductions and recruitment guidelines.


Moreover, various side events and on-site participation events will be held.

These include side events such as ‘Boogie Tour’ touring the fair with the city’s communication character ‘Boogie,’ personalized color consultations, ID photo shoots, and interview hair and makeup powder rooms, as well as various participation-centered on-site events, creating a festival full of jobs, entertainment, and attractions.


This year’s fair is notable for offering special benefits to participating companies and job seekers.


Key benefits include support of 1 million KRW per person, up to 5 million KRW per company, if a participating company maintains employment for more than six months after hiring regular employees, and an interview support fund of 20,000 KRW will be given to the first 500 job seekers who participate in two or more interviews on the day of the fair.
