Shinsegae Group announced on the 21st that the shopping festival '2024 Korea SSG Day' will be held from the 1st of next month. SSG Day is an event where Shinsegae Group's online and offline affiliates come together to sell specially priced planned products while holding various events.

Marking its 5th edition this year, the 2024 SSG Day will run for a total of ten days from the 1st to the 10th of next month. This is the first time the event includes two weekends during the period, and it is also the longest duration ever. Eighteen major affiliates, including online companies like Gmarket and SSG.com, as well as offline stores such as E-Mart and Shinsegae Department Store, will participate. The volume of goods prepared this time is 1.9 trillion KRW, the largest ever.

Special Discounts on Food, Electronics, Wine, and More... The Biggest Benefits of the Year

This year’s SSG Day features a theme called 'SSG Day Signature Top 100,' carefully selecting representative products. Popular food items, clothing, electronics, furniture, and other essential products will be offered at special prices.

E-Mart will offer up to 50% discounts on all Korean beef products for three days starting from the 1st of next month. The steady seller, a 60-count pack of eggs (Ipanran), will be priced at 8,980 KRW, and seasonal Russian king crab will be offered at the lowest price of the year. During this period, Shinsegae Department Store will collaborate with popular brands to present various collaboration products. From ultra-light down jackets by Snow Peak and Eider to fashion sports outerwear, holiday gift cosmetics, and living products, popular items will be available at special prices.

Shinsegae L&B will offer Dos Copas Cabernet Sauvignon 1.5L, a wine that sold one million bottles within four months of its launch, at 8,900 KRW. Additionally, the popular bourbon whiskey Evan Williams will be available for 29,980 KRW, which is even cheaper than prices in the U.S.

Gmarket will sell products from four popular robot vacuum brands, including Roborock and Narwal, at the biggest discounts of the year, while SSG.com will offer the LG Objet Collection Wash Tower at a special price in the 1.69 million KRW range. This product is usually sold in the market for around 2 million KRW. Traders will sell an 86-inch QLED TV at about half the price of TVs of the same size. They have also prepared the Minix food waste disposer at a special price, marking the first time this product is sold in offline stores at Traders.

Shinsegae Casa will sell furniture and accessories, including the best-selling Casamia 'Campo' sofa series, at the maximum discount price, with online-exclusive products discounted by 25%. Shinsegae Duty Free will offer up to 65% discounts on products from over 100 brands in fashion, beauty, and liquor categories, and will hold daily 'Today's Hot Deal' sales of three products along with a first-come, first-served duty-free points giveaway event.

Round-trip Airfare to Fukuoka from 50,000 KRW... Bitcoin 10 Billion KRW Giveaway Event

Travel products are also a key benefit of this SSG Day. SSG.com has prepared one-way air tickets to popular destinations such as Japan, Southeast Asia, and China at special prices as representative products in the SSG Day travel category. Based on the maximum benefit price, tickets to Fukuoka, Japan start from the 50,000 KRW range, Harbin, China from the 70,000 KRW range, and Da Nang, Vietnam from the 110,000 KRW range. Domestic accommodation products from 'Yogi-ottae' and 'Yanolja' and overseas accommodation products from 'Expedia' and 'HotelPass' are also offered at discounts of up to 12%. Additionally, various popular travel products will be discounted through live broadcasts during the SSG Day period.

Gmarket will also offer package and airtel products for popular winter vacation spots such as Vietnam and Guam with additional benefits, starting from the 400,000 KRW range. Popular domestic hotel and resort accommodation vouchers valid until March next year will also be offered at special prices. Furthermore, in collaboration with the virtual asset exchange Bithumb, a Bitcoin giveaway event worth 10 billion KRW will be held. From October 21, 11 days before the opening, until the last day of SSG Day on November 10, participants who share the 'SSGtem Official' introducing the SSG Day schedule and benefits will share a total of 10 billion KRW worth of Bitcoin.

During SSG Day, customers who purchase items from the 'SSG Day Signature Top 100' will receive up to 50% payback benefits, and a promotion giving away prizes worth 500 million KRW will also be held. The Top 100 products will be revealed on the SSG.com website on the 21st. Customers can also participate in an event to vote for the most anticipated products.

A stock clearance event commemorating the 5th SSG Day will be held from November 1 to 10 at Starfield Goyang, Suwon, COEX, and Anseong stores. The stock clearance event was planned based on the fact that the original large-scale shopping event, the U.S. Black Friday, originated from buying clearance items at low prices.

Shinsegae Group also plans to hold events that add meaning of sharing and coexistence during this SSG Day. Gmarket will host an online exhibition to introduce and support the sale of excellent products from small business owners. Shinsegae Group’s multi-complex malls will also open charity bazaars and refurbished stores.
