Dongdaemun-gu Education Expo Held... "High School Admission and Future Education at a Glance"

Education Expo Held on the 26th at District Office for Parents and Children/Youth
High School Admission Counseling Booth, High School Entrance Briefing, and 4th Industrial Experience Booths Provided

Dongdaemun-gu (Mayor Ilpyeong Lee) will hold the "Dongdaemun-gu Education Expo" at the district office on the 26th.


This expo consists of the "High School Admission Information Expo" and the "Future Education Expo." On-site, there will be customized high school admission planning and school club and 4th Industrial Revolution experience booths.


The "High School Admission Information Expo" will be held in the district office auditorium and conference rooms, providing tailored admission information through 1:1 consultation booths and school-specific briefings for students and parents wishing to enter high schools located in Dongdaemun-gu.


A total of 10 schools will participate in this expo, including six general high schools: ▲Kyunghee Girls' High School ▲Dongdaemun High School ▲Cheongnyang High School ▲Haeseong Girls' High School ▲Hwikyung Girls' High School ▲Hwibong High School; two autonomous private high schools: ▲Kyunghee High School ▲Daekwang High School; and two specialized high schools: ▲Haeseong International Convention High School ▲Seoul Jeonghwa High School.


At 10 a.m., a special lecture on "High School Credit System, 2028 College Entrance Reform Plan, and High School Selection" will be held. It aims to provide students and parents with useful information about the high school credit system, admission processes, and the evolving curriculum.

Parents and students wishing to participate can apply in advance through the Dongdaemun-gu website.


The "Future Education Expo" will take place from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the district office plaza and first-floor lobby. At this expo, children and youth can experience various activities such as ▲building their own amusement park with AI Lego ▲drone bingo games as part of the 4th Industrial Revolution experience booths, along with ▲Halloween special makeup experience ▲tarot career counseling.


Clubs from five schools including Dongdaemun Middle School, Kyunghee Girls' High School, Daekwang High School, Seoul Jeonghwa High School, and Haeseong Girls' High School will participate, offering diverse programs such as ▲traditional Korean archery ▲science experiment experiences ▲K-pop dance and band busking performances, providing even richer attractions.


Additionally, there will be various experience booths such as ▲a performance cheering app using sound waves by the University of Seoul ▲keyring making by Dongdaemun Lifelong Learning Center ▲sea glass LED light making by Dongdaemun Career and Job Experience Support Center.


Ilpyeong Lee, Mayor of Dongdaemun-gu, said, "I hope this education expo will provide children and youth with a meaningful time to experience future education and help students and parents facing high school admission to resolve their concerns about entrance exams and career paths. We will continue to strive to create Dongdaemun-gu as an education city that is great for raising children."
