On the same day, Han wrote on Facebook, “North Korea's participation confirms that North Korea and Russia have a definite ‘military alliance.’”

He stated, “North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong-un recently spread out a map of the Republic of Korea, including our capital Seoul, and spoke of ‘enemy countries’ and ‘use of force,’” emphasizing, “We will not tolerate any provocations from the Kim Jong-un dictatorship.”

He continued, “The Korean War, when North Korea invaded in June 25, caused over one million casualties. Our land was literally reduced to ruins,” adding, “Now, the Republic of Korea has a solid security posture and overwhelming military strength. I strongly support the efforts of our government.”

Kim Yeon-ju, spokesperson for the People Power Party, said in a statement that day, “The reality that North Korea and Russia have reached a level of military cooperation beyond coordination to an alliance is an existential security threat not only to the international community but also to us,” warning, “Reckless military actions do not help peace on the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia at all, and only lead to isolation and sanctions in the international community.”

She added, “We will protect the lives and safety of our people with a calm and resolute response,” urging, “The government and military must face the grave security reality more than ever, establish an airtight defense posture, and thoroughly prepare to immediately retaliate against reckless actions.”
