A man who was being chased by the police on charges of producing and using counterfeit bills was arrested after being found sleeping in an electrical wiring box while intoxicated on drugs.

Recently, a video titled "The Amazing Police Instincts That Find Even the Hidden ○○ Inside Electrical Wiring Boxes!" was uploaded on the 'Korea National Police Agency' YouTube channel. The video begins with a report received by the Gyeongbuk Gimcheon Police Station on the 2nd of last month. The informant said, "A man bought cigarettes with a 50,000 won bill, but upon closer inspection, it was fake money."

Upon investigation, it was found that there had been two similar reports in the area before. Moreover, this man was a suspect wanted by other police stations for drug use and counterfeit bill charges. The police decided it was necessary to quickly apprehend him and immediately began tracking him down.

The police found the suspect's car parked by the roadside and tried to block him with two vehicles. However, the man recklessly reversed, crashing into a police car, and then sped away at full speed. While fleeing from the police pursuit, he crashed into a utility pole, abandoned his vehicle, and ran across a six-lane road at full speed to escape. The Gimcheon 112 control room requested search cooperation from the mobile patrol unit, fire department, and other police stations in case of any unforeseen situations, and detectives began tracking the suspect's movements. Soon, the police discovered that the man was heading to his residence.

CCTV footage from the suspect's residence shows him getting into an elevator, pressing multiple buttons randomly, and then crouching in a corner. He even exhibited unusual behavior such as crawling on the elevator floor. Later, when the police arrived at the residence to search for him, they were shocked to find the man sleeping inside an electrical wiring box installed in front of the house, with his upper body exposed after having taken off his outer shirt. It was revealed that the man was asleep due to being intoxicated on drugs. The police immediately rushed to him, subdued him, and arrested him. The man was subsequently detained on charges of counterfeit currency use and drug consumption.
