Hanam City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Hyun-jae) announced on the 18th that it will hold a special lecture on climate crisis response and carbon neutrality by inviting Dr. Kwak Jae-sik at the annex auditorium of Hanam City Hall on November 6.

This special lecture will be held together with the November monthly meeting, and the lecture topic will be "The Earth is Fine, We Are the Problem," presenting stories about the seriousness of the climate crisis and response measures in the field of carbon neutrality.

Dr. Kwak Jae-sik, who will give the lecture, is an environmental engineer from KAIST and is well known to the public through active broadcasting activities such as "You Quiz on the Block" and "Kim Young-chul's Power FM Science Convenience Store."

The special lecture is available through prior registration, and 150 people will be recruited on a first-come, first-served basis from the 21st to the 25th via a Naver form. Detailed information can be found in the notices section on the Hanam City Hall website. The lecture will be broadcast live through Hanam City's YouTube channel and can be viewed online.

A city official stated, "Through this special lecture, we hope citizens will become aware of the seriousness of the climate crisis and seek ways to practice it in their daily lives, providing an opportunity to view and think about the climate crisis from a broader perspective."
