High-Quality Content Filled with 'Taste and Style' Receives Praise

Damyang-gun announced on the 18th that it achieved the remarkable feat of winning the Grand Prize in the Basic Local Government category at the 13th Korea SNS Awards held on the 17th, marking its second consecutive year of receiving the award.


Hosted by the Korea Social Content Promotion Association and sponsored by the Ministry of Science and ICT, the Korea SNS Awards comprehensively evaluate and award public institutions, local governments, and companies nationwide that communicate with the public through high-quality social networking service (SNS) content.


Established in 2011, the Korea SNS Awards recognize companies and public institutions that effectively utilize SNS to communicate with customers, securing competitiveness in online promotion and continuously motivating improvements. Damyang-gun, which operates channels such as blogs, YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook, has gained much love from residents and tourists alike by delivering prompt administrative information needed by residents as well as providing elegant content filled with the taste and charm of Damyang’s natural scenery, tourist attractions, and local cuisine.


In particular, Damyang-gun’s YouTube channel has received favorable reviews for its unique videos, including music videos introducing local tourist spots using artificial intelligence (AI) and “Youth Jobs,” which highlights young people settled in Damyang.


Lee Byeong-no, Mayor of Damyang-gun, emphasized, “Damyang-gun actively communicates with users through various SNS channels such as Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to promote beautiful Damyang with accurate information delivery and creative content.”
