Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk will hold a performance of the Yeongju Symphony Orchestra, the resident group of the Yeongju Cultural Arts Center, titled "Creative Sacred Song Museom Onamuda Bridge" at 7 p.m. on the 26th at the Kkachi Hall of the Yeongju Cultural Arts Center.
This performance is part of the "2024 Gyeongsangbuk-do Performing Arts Venue Resident Group Support Project," hosted by the Gyeongbuk Cultural Foundation, organized by the Yeongju Symphony Orchestra and Yeongju Cultural Arts Center, and sponsored by Gyeongsangbuk-do.
"Onamuda Bridge" (lyrics by Kim Jin-dong, composition by Lim Gyo-min) is a creative sacred song composed of various arrangements including solo, ensemble, and choir, performed in collaboration with the Yeongju Symphony Orchestra and the Dokdo Opera Choir. The performance will feature conductor Kim Hyung-seok, soprano Hanna Hyung, tenor Choi Ho-eop, and baritone Kwon Yong-il, promising a high-quality stage.
The Yeongju Symphony Orchestra, which is organizing this performance (director Kim Jin-dong), was founded on December 1, 1990, and is the only symphony orchestra in the northern Gyeongbuk region, having held 35 regular concerts and participated in over 150 musical events to date. Through creative planning and innovative performance programs, it expands cultural enjoyment opportunities for citizens and contributes to the development of local culture and arts.
