Naver announced on the 18th that it will launch a paid service called the 'N Golf Round Package,' which bundles golf insurance products.
Earlier, Naver introduced 'MY Golf' in March, a feature called 'Round' that allows users to create, operate, and communicate within small golf gatherings to amateur golf tournaments, gaining popularity among golf fans. Following this, the N Golf Round Package, a paid service offering practical benefits and the largest prize money in Korea, will be launched.
By creating rounds in MY Golf and subscribing to the N Golf Round Package service, participants can receive prize money up to 100 million KRW proportional to the number of round participants and a hole-in-one compensation of 2.5 million KRW if a hole-in-one occurs.
Additionally, users of the N Golf Round Package will receive consolation money if a round is canceled due to rain, and support funds in case of injury or death during the round.
All participants in the Round Package will be provided with a one-day usage pass for Voice Caddie and a chance ball to enter the MY Golf Approach event, which awards up to 50,000 KRW worth of Naver Pay points.
The N Golf Round Package consists of two products in partnership with domestic insurance companies, and its advantage is that golfers can conveniently purchase a one-day pass anytime and anywhere as needed.
Also, amateur golf tournaments utilizing Naver Sports' 'Round' feature are scheduled to take place at about 10 golf courses nationwide starting from the end of October, with plans to continuously expand partner golf courses.
Jung Hyun-soo, Naver Sports leader, stated, "We are strengthening community functions where many sports fans can gather around golf, including live broadcasts of the Korea Professional Golf and Korea Ladies Professional Golf tournaments, AI highlight videos, open talks, short-form videos, and fantasy games." He added, "We will continue to enhance the N Golf service by listening to diverse feedback from fans who enjoy playing golf, beyond just watching sports."
