Minister Yusangim: "Industrialization Achievements of Technology Are More Important Than Anything"

Meeting with the Specialized Agency for Technology Industrialization Support
To Be Reflected in the 'Republic of Korea Technology Industrialization Strategy'

Yoo Sang-im, Minister of Science and ICT, announced on the 18th that he held a meeting with specialized institutions supporting technology industrialization at the Vertex Korea Business Center in Jongno-gu, Seoul.

This meeting was held for the first time as Minister Yoo, together with specialized institutions supporting technology industrialization such as the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology, the Institute for Information & Communications Technology Planning & Evaluation, and the Research & Development Special Zone Promotion Foundation, aimed to diagnose the current status of domestic technology industrialization and seek improvement measures.

The meeting proceeded with presentations on the current status of technology industrialization support by each specialized institution, a SWOT analysis of the domestic technology industrialization environment, and improvement plans, followed by discussions among the attendees.

The discussed contents are expected to be reflected in the Republic of Korea's technology industrialization strategy (tentative name) being prepared by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

Minister Yoo stated, "To increase the public's perception of research and development outcomes, the achievements of technology industrialization are of utmost importance," and added, "The Ministry of Science and ICT will continue to communicate with the field to foster the technology industrialization ecosystem."
