Bravo Beaver is an equity investment-type standard workplace for people with disabilities established with support from Bear Better, a social enterprise that creates jobs for people with developmental disabilities through equity investments from private companies. It produces fruit syrups, stationery, coffee drip bags, and more.

As part of its initiative to expand employment for people with disabilities, KB Securities participated as a shareholder in the establishment of Bravo Beaver's Gyeonggi workplace in January 2023 and the Busan workplace in January this year. Each quarter, it purchases products made by people with severe developmental disabilities at these workplaces and donates them to welfare facilities. In 2023, it began by donating stationery sets for children in group homes and fruit syrup sets to marginalized neighbors. This year, it delivered fruit syrup sets and health tea sets to multicultural families and vulnerable women, respectively.

This time, KB Securities decided to donate stationery and herbal tea sets to Aeranwon, which supports pregnant women in crisis facing difficulties in pregnancy, childbirth, and early childcare, as well as single-parent families. Aeranwon started in 1960 with the opening of "House of Grace" and currently supports the independence of single mothers and their children through a network of nine institutions, including the single mother communal living homes "Aeran Youngsville" and "Aeran Mothers' House," and the alternative foster education institution for student single mothers, "Narae Hope School."

Jung Daegyo, Head of Human Resources Support at KB Securities, said, "We are pleased to support single-parent families in the local community who are fulfilling their responsibilities to protect precious lives despite anticipated difficulties," adding, "We plan to continue delivering KB Securities' warmth to marginalized groups in need."

Meanwhile, KB Securities is directly employing "Health Keepers" (massage therapists who are visually impaired) to provide massage services to dementia patients at daycare centers and low-income elderly living alone through the "Love Massage Service." It is also running the "Seomseom Oksu" project at Yeongdeungpo Station and Osong Station, which hires women with severe disabilities to provide nail care services to railway passengers.

Furthermore, through its equity investment participation in the Bravo Beaver workplace, KB Securities achieved a 100% compliance rate with the mandatory employment of people with disabilities as of August 2024. Moving forward, it plans to actively practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management by not only creating jobs for people with disabilities but also gradually expanding donation activities for marginalized groups.
