26 Teams Participate in Samulnori, Painting, and More
On the 16th, the Mokpo Office of Education announced on the 17th that it held the '2024 Mokpo Arts Festival (Mokpo Arts Education Festival)' at the Mokpo Citizen Culture and Sports Center Grand Theater for the educational community of kindergartens, elementary, middle, and high schools in Mokpo.
This event was divided into performance and exhibition sectors to promote the revitalization and enhancement of cultural arts education in Mokpo area schools and to share various arts education activities.

In the performance sector, 19 teams were formed, including ▲Samulnori and Pungmulnori ▲Gayageum and Violin ▲Choir and A cappella ▲Orchestra ▲Group Sound, and in the exhibition sector, 7 teams submitted works in ▲Painting ▲Calligraphy and Minhwa ▲Crafts.
A student who participated in the event said, "It was rewarding and happy to present various arts education works learned in school classes on a big stage."
Jeong Deok-won, the Superintendent of Education, said, "This festival is a sharing place to share the achievements of various cultural arts education activities," and added, "We will actively support school educational activities so that Mokpo cultural arts education can continue to be revitalized."
