Following this, Governor Jo presented the vision of ‘New Change, Greater Gokseong’ along with five directions for county administration.

First, in the field of education and youth support, to create ‘a Gokseong where young people can realize their dreams and live well,’ Governor Jo stated, “We will strengthen the ‘Youth U-Turn Support Fund,’ ‘Youth Basic Allowance,’ and ‘Youth Startup Support Program’ to help young people returning from outside and local youth settle stably.”

For tourism and regional economic revitalization, he expressed the intention to “connect the entire Gokseong County into a tourism belt and enhance regional vitality” by linking the Train Village, Fairy Tale Garden, and Seomjingang Integrated Tourism Belt projects to create a groundbreaking opportunity for tourism development.

He also showed determination to implement the ‘Gokseong Garden Project’ to transform Gokseong into a vast garden, reborn as a space harmoniously blending with nature.

In agriculture, to build ‘Gokseong as the No. 1 wealthy farming village,’ he plans to maximize agricultural efficiency through fostering smart farming, strengthen direct sales centered on small-scale and marginal farmers, and expand support for agricultural machinery and crop disaster insurance to create an environment where local farmers can focus on farming with peace of mind.

To fundamentally solve the shortage of labor during the farming season, he said, “We will expand the public seasonal labor project and also increase the issuance of local currency to revitalize the regional economy.”

In welfare, he promised to realize a happy welfare community for all through ‘providing seamless living care services without discrimination.’

To guarantee the basic right to public transportation for all residents, he plans to promote free county buses, provide basic income allowances to all residents to stabilize their lives and ease economic burdens, and introduce a village doctor system to offer customized health care services for each household.

In the field of open administration, to create a ‘clean and fair public service culture,’ Governor Jo said, “Public officials must move away from a passive work approach that only handles assigned tasks and establish an active work processing system,” adding, “We will expand one-stop administrative processing and establish a personnel system that favors hardworking employees, preparing measures for public officials’ treatment in line with proactive administration.”

Governor Jo conveyed his ambition to “conduct county administration that all residents of Gokseong can be proud of in return for their trust,” and expressed his intention to lead the county administration by listening attentively to each resident’s voice with humility.

Meanwhile, on the day of his inauguration, Governor Jo began with a visit to the Gokseong Loyalty Tower, followed by the oath-taking and inauguration ceremony, and immediately took charge of leading Gokseong’s administration. After the inauguration, he started his first official schedule by visiting Gokseong’s departments, towns and townships, related organizations, and senior centers in the towns and townships.
