Signs of Conflict Between the Two Emerge
Former announcer and broadcaster Park Ji-yoon and her husband Choi Dong-seok are currently undergoing divorce proceedings and mutual alienation lawsuits, and the messages exchanged between the two have been revealed, drawing public attention.
On the 17th, 'Dispatch' disclosed the message history and call records between Park Ji-yoon and Choi Dong-seok, reporting on how their conflict eventually led to a breakup. According to the outlet, Choi Dong-seok told Park Ji-yoon, "A junior said they saw you meeting a man at a cafe the other day," adding, "From the junior's perspective, it might look like you're playing around."
In response, Park Ji-yoon explained, "A client employee was leaving, so I just had a cup of coffee to say thank you," and clarified, "I wasn’t going out alone, I didn’t drink alcohol, and I didn’t meet anyone at night."

They also argued over Park Ji-yoon speaking ill of Choi Dong-seok to acquaintances. Choi Dong-seok expressed anger, saying, "Putting everything aside, the fact that you were caught cursing caused the family to break down," and asked, "Why should I carry the label of divorce because of that?"
Park Ji-yoon countered, "You were faithful and did very well in family life, so why would I curse you?" She added, "It wasn’t posted on a community for the whole nation to see, but only shared in a group chat with friends. Is private conversation the same as public disclosure?"
There were also disputes over financial issues between the two. Choi Dong-seok criticized Park Ji-yoon, saying, "You said you would be responsible for the children’s tuition, but later you whined that you had no money." In response, Park Ji-yoon said, "I wasn’t whining," and argued, "If you don’t like me going out, meeting clients, and living an outside life, then make me someone who stays only at home. Or hire a driver and a housekeeper so I can manage and go out."
She further expressed anger, saying, "You pay all your taxes, buy all your cars, and when your financial situation allows, you gave money little by little, right?" and "The fact is that I contributed at least one won more while living in this house, but you said, 'Give me 30 million won to repay your mother’s debt.'" The two had various disputes over time, and it appears they ultimately decided to divorce after failing to reconcile their differences.
Meanwhile, Park Ji-yoon and Choi Dong-seok were colleagues who joined KBS as announcers in the 30th class and married in November 2009, having one son and one daughter. They announced their breakup last October, after 14 years of marriage. In June, Park Ji-yoon filed a lawsuit against Choi Dong-seok’s female acquaintance A for alienation of affection damages, and at the end of last month, Choi Dong-seok filed a countersuit against Park Ji-yoon’s male acquaintance.
