Taean Chollipo Arboretum Autumn Festival Opens on the 19th... "Enjoy a Walk in the Private Area"

Exhibition Showcasing Over 100 Varieties of Self-Harvested Seeds and More to Be Held

The '2024 Chollipo Arboretum Autumn Festival,' which will run for 16 days starting with the nation's first book fair held in an arboretum, is just one day away.

As the scents of Osmanthus fragrans and Katsura trees, which can only be enjoyed in autumn, fill the arboretum, various events have been prepared for visitors this fall, raising expectations.

Chollipo Arboretum in Taean, Chungnam, announced on the 17th that the autumn atmosphere created by Osmanthus fragrans and Katsura trees is filling the arboretum on the eve of the festival.

During the festival, the exhibition 'The Great Secret Held by a Small Seed ? Beautiful Fruits' will be held at the Min Byunggal Gallery in Chollipo Arboretum, showcasing over 100 types of seeds and fruits collected from the arboretum.

More than 20 varieties of pears and persimmons researched by the Pear Research Center of the National Institute of Horticultural and Herbal Science will also be on display.

In addition, visitors can enjoy photo zones featuring the newly introduced characters 'Mokryeoni' and 'Challipus Morgan' created by Chollipo Arboretum this year.

The 'Chaekbaseum' event, held over two days from the 19th to the 20th, will feature about 50 teams including independent publishers, bookstores, and creators from across the country.

Various cultural programs will also be available, such as a lecture by writer Jung Serang, loved for novels like 'School Nurse Ahn Eunyoung' and 'From the Gaze,' and performances by musician Kim Banjang and Saenggibokdeok, famous for the song 'Think About chu.'

During the festival, the 'Secret Garden Walk with a Gardener' program, which allows visitors to stroll through non-public areas with a gardener's commentary, can be reserved in advance through Naver Reservation.

'Baseum,' a Chungnam dialect word, means harvest, and the event aims to 'harvest' books, the food for the mind, during the harvest season.
