"Customized Learning-Enabled Innovative Technology Support"
Naver Cloud announced on the 17th that it held a 'Strategy Seminar for Successful AI Digital Textbook Development' for developers ahead of the introduction of AI digital textbooks, which will be implemented starting March next year.
The seminar was attended by about 90 experts including AI digital textbook publishers, developers, and cloud specialists. It was organized to establish technical strategies based on next year's AI digital textbook certification results for AI digital textbook developers and to introduce Naver Cloud's AI and media product lineup, architecture, and support measures.

Kim Yuwon, CEO of Naver Cloud, said in his opening remarks, "For AI digital textbooks to become a powerful tool that provides personalized learning reflecting students' individual characteristics and learning patterns, the application of various technologies is necessary." He added that Naver Cloud is supporting the digital transformation of education in South Korea through cloud-based innovative technologies and will do its best to ensure the successful establishment of AI digital textbooks in educational settings.
Following this, Kim Hangyeol, Executive Director of Naver Cloud, presented the 'Roadmap for Successful On-site Application of AI Digital Textbooks.' He explained that cloud-based AI digital textbook development and operation can quickly respond to IT changes and reduce initial investment costs, thereby maximizing operational efficiency.
He also introduced specific support measures. These included alleviating initial development burdens through annual development credits, cost reduction plans if textbooks are not adopted, and support for Cloud Security Assurance Program (CSAP) consulting fees. He promised close cooperation with publishers through technology exchanges and joint development related to AI tutors, as well as expanding the dedicated AI digital textbook task force (TF).
A technical session on cloud-based architecture and service operation plans was also held. Heo Changhyun, a leader at Naver Cloud, introduced reference architectures for stable AI digital textbook services under the theme of 'Cloud-based Architecture Design for Digital Textbook Development.' Additionally, the session continued with various cases of how AI is being utilized in the recent education market and how AI technology has impacted media services, which are essential in the digital education industry.
Ahead of the introduction of AI digital textbooks next year, Naver Cloud is making multifaceted efforts for educational innovation in collaboration with various partners such as the Korea Textbook Association and digital textbook producers. The company plans to support the digital transformation in the education sector through its cloud infrastructure and various technologies including generative AI.
