'North-South Connecting Road Explosion' Fact Internally Disclosed
"Constitutionally Hostile Nation" Mentioned... Presumed Constitutional Amendment
North Korea revealed the fact that it blew up the inter-Korean connecting roads and partially disclosed the contents of its constitutional amendment. It appears to have carried out a constitutional amendment that defines the Republic of Korea as a hostile state. Whether the 'abolition of unification' will occur remains unclear.

Korean Central News Agency reported the news of the destruction of the inter-Korean connecting roads on the Gyeongui and Donghae lines, stating on the 17th, "This is an inevitable and legitimate measure arising from the Republic's constitution, which strictly regulates the Republic of Korea as a hostile state, and from the severe political and military provocations by hostile forces, leading to an unpredictable war border security environment." The same content was published in the Rodong Sinmun, which residents read.
Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un has advocated the 'two-state theory' since the end of last year and instructed to amend the constitution earlier this year. This involves deleting expressions of unification from the North Korean constitution and establishing a new territorial clause that defines the boundary between the South and the North as a 'national border.' North Korea held the Supreme People's Assembly on the 7th and 8th but did not disclose whether measures such as regulations on inter-Korean relations or deletion of the unification concept in the constitution were implemented.
The news agency emphasized that the road destruction was ordered by the Party Central Military Commission, describing it as "part of a phased implementation to thoroughly separate the exercise of sovereignty of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea and the territory of the Republic of Korea."
