Lotte Department Store Jamsil Introduces 'Premium Furniture' Targeting Dunchon Jugong Move-in

By the End of Next Month, 12,000 Households to Move into Jamsil Commercial Area
Living Sales Double Compared to Last Year Since Last Month
Introducing 'Cassina', 'Edra', 'Looming', and 'Steelcase'

Lotte Department Store Jamsil Branch is introducing a premium furniture brand to target the demand from new residents moving into large apartment complexes.

According to Lotte Department Store on the 17th, around 12,000 new households will begin moving into the Olympic Park Foreon Apartments in Dunchon-dong, Gangdong-gu, Seoul, at the end of next month. As a result, living product sales at the nearby Jamsil branch have been on the rise. From the 1st of last month to the 15th of this month, sales of living product categories at Jamsil branch nearly doubled compared to the same period last year. Due to the characteristics of the commercial district, demand for premium products is high, and the average spending per customer recorded the highest level among all stores.

In response, Lotte Department Store will introduce premium brands at the 10th-floor living goods hall of the Jamsil branch until the 18th. This decision is based on the expectation that purchasing demand will increase further due to the large-scale apartment complex.

First, globally renowned premium furniture brands will be newly introduced. The representative brands are ‘Cassina’ and ‘Edra,’ famous Italian luxury furniture brands. At the Cassina store, the ‘Soriana’ sofa, a collaboration with the Italian denim brand ‘Roy Rogers,’ will be sold for the first time in Korea.

Edra will showcase a furniture collection designed by Italian designer Francesco Binfar?. Additionally, the first offline exclusive store of the US-based global office furniture brand ‘Steelcase’ will be introduced in the industry for the first time.

A premium accessory store that will complete a sophisticated interior has also been prepared. The lifestyle design select shop ‘Looming’ will sell a variety of living products in one place, ranging from small furniture to lighting and home accessories. Premium living brands such as the Danish famous designer brands ‘Hay,’ ‘Vitra,’ ‘Artek,’ and ‘Driade’ will also be presented in a shop-in-shop format.

Premium beds will also be introduced. The Jamsil branch plans to create dedicated spaces for premium beds by brand, including ‘Heritz’ from Ace Bed and ‘Black’ from Simmons Bed.

Opening commemorative promotions will also be held. Cassina and Looming will offer gifts on a first-come, first-served basis depending on the purchase amount, while Edra and Steelcase will provide item discounts until the 14th of next month. Additionally, until the 20th of this month, a promotion will be held where up to 10% of the purchase amount will be given back in Lotte gift certificates depending on the payment method when purchasing furniture.

Lee Dong-hyun, head of the Lifestyle Division at Lotte Department Store, said, “By strengthening premium living content centered on furniture, we aim to actively target the surrounding commercial district, which will grow even larger along with the large-scale new move-ins,” adding, “We plan to continue offering diverse living content that can satisfy various customer tastes, focusing on premium products.”
