Gijang-gun, Jwagwangcheon as a Venue for Nature, Education, and Culture... 10th Jeonggwan Ecological Stream Learning and Culture Festival Held

Various Programs Including Literary Contest, English and Science Experiential Learning, Youth Eoulmadang, and Silver Festival

Busan's Gijang-gun will hold the "10th Jeonggwan Ecological Stream Learning and Culture Festival" at Jwagwangcheon in Jeonggwan-eup from the 18th to the 20th.

The "Jeonggwan Ecological Stream Learning and Culture Festival" is a festival aimed at promoting the value of Jwagwangcheon, a local landmark, and realizing a happy city.


It is a festival that expresses the differentiated theme of "learning and culture" through various festival contents with active participation from local residents, and it has been selected as the "2024 Busan City Designated Best Festival."


This year’s festival, marking its 10th anniversary, will be held with even richer and more diverse programs. Programs that have received high responses from participants year after year, such as the ▲street parade ▲walking contest ▲science and English experience events ▲literary events ▲youth gathering ▲Jeonggwan sharing flea market, will be held along with new programs including ▲National Children’s Choir Competition ▲Jwagwangcheon Ecological Experience Program ▲Silver Festival Youth Era (school uniform, military training uniform experience, photo zone) ▲book concert, and more.


From the first day of the festival on the 18th, various experience booths will open, and congratulatory performances by invited singers such as Dynamic Duo and Yang Ji-won will take place.


On the morning and afternoon of the 19th, a drawing contest, essay contest, English speech contest, National Children’s Choir Competition, and street parade will be held, where children and youth can showcase their talents. In the evening, the opening ceremony will be held along with the Dalbamdalcho (Youth Gathering) event featuring performances by local youth teams (10 teams) and invited singer Wonstein.


On the last day of the festival, the 20th, the family walking contest will kick off the day, followed by the Jeonggwan Silver Festival performance for seniors and the World Multicultural Gathering. The festival will conclude with a closing ceremony and celebratory performances by Ahn Ye-eun, No Brain, Granada, and others, heating up the finale. However, some events or programs may be changed or canceled depending on weather conditions such as rain.


Additionally, on the 19th and 20th, at the plaza in front of Jeonggwan Children’s Library (Witgol Park), “Creative Science Experience Learning for the Whole Family” and “Gijang Family English Experience Learning” will be held, where families can experience and enjoy together.


At the Fountain Plaza, various learning and cultural contents will be held, including the Dalbamdalcho (On a Night When the Moon Rises, the Moon Rabbit Invites You) experience booth created by youth themselves, and the “On-site University Admission Consulting Booth” in collaboration with Jongno Academy.


Jeong Jong-bok, the county governor, said, “The Jeonggwan Ecological Stream Festival is a place of nature, education, and culture held around the eco-friendly Jwagwangcheon area,” and added, “I hope many residents and tourists visit to have a happy time where children can learn and enjoy freely, and adults can feel relaxation and memories.”
