Various Programs Including Hip-Hop Concert, Street Art Parade, and Exhibition Experience Booths
Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 16th that it will hold the 5th Urban Regeneration Night Festival, the '2024 Hello DDC Festival,' over two days from the 26th to the 27th in the Bosan-dong Tourist District.
Hosted by Dongducheon City and organized by the Gyeonggi Cultural Foundation, this event will feature a variety of attractions including a hip-hop concert, the DDC street art parade, a workshop flea market, various exhibitions, and experience booths.
On the first day of the festival, the 26th, the event will open with the Dongducheon cultural resource creative performance, the 'DDC Street Art Parade.'
The parade will feature performances by art groups such as the 'Korean Puppet Theater Cooperative,' 'Art Stage San,' '1980 Dongducheon Girls' High School Marching Band,' 'Taerang Society,' and the 'Siheung City Traditional Arts Troupe,' showcasing street performances.
The main event, the hip-hop concert, will include performances by leading domestic R&B artist 'Zion.T,' Show Me The Money 5 winner rapper 'BewhY,' and Dongducheon-born rapper 'Polo Da Red.'
On the 27th, there will be opportunity income artist performances hosted by Gyeonggi Province and music roaming performances organized by the Gyeonggi Content Agency.
The hip-hop concert will conclude the festival with appearances by the legendary Korean hip-hop duo 'Dynamic Duo' and Show Me The Money 6 winner rapper 'Hangzoo.'
Additionally, various side events such as the Design Art Village workshop flea market, tattoo experiences, Monobox photo zone, and Paleolithic prehistoric crafting experiences will be held. Mayor Park Hyung-deok of Dongducheon said, "I believe this festival will not only contribute to revitalizing the local commercial district but also serve as a great opportunity to promote Dongducheon to tourists," adding, "The city will continue to strive to make this festival a representative event of northern Gyeonggi Province."
