Search Warrant Denied to Identify Poster
"No Apparent Grounds for Suspicion"

On the 16th, the Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced that the search warrant applied for against DC Inside was dismissed.
On the 11th at around 9:15 PM, the Mapo Police Station received a 112 report stating that a post threatening physical harm to Representative Han had been uploaded on an online community. The next day, on the 12th, they applied for a search warrant against the community to identify the author of the post. The police planned to transfer the case to the Cyber Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for further investigation once the warrant was issued.
A police official stated, "The warrant application was dismissed on the grounds that there appeared to be no charges," adding, "We cannot disclose specific details."
