Held at Giheung Bora Library from the 1st to the 29th of next month
Yongin City in Gyeonggi Province will hold the 'Yeolha Ilgi Reading Club' on Park Ji-won of Yeonam at Borado Library in Giheung-gu from the 1st to the 29th of next month.
This reading club, which reflects Borado Library's specialized theme of 'Tradition and History,' is designed to help citizens explore the culture and history of the late Joseon period by reading classical literature and gain guidance for living in the present.
The reading sessions will be held on the following schedule: Dogangrok (1st), Ilsin Supil (8th), Gwannae Jeongsa (15th), Makbuk Haengjeongrok (22nd), and Hwanyeon Dojungrok (29th). Research Professor Park Su-mil from the East Asian Culture Research Institute at Hanyang University will lead the sessions.
Applications for participation will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting from the 16th via the Borado Library website. For more details about the event, please contact the library.
A city official stated, "We have prepared a deep reading program of Yeolha Ilgi to provide citizens with an opportunity to build their humanities knowledge of classical literature," adding, "It will be a chance to gain insights through classical works."
