Kia unveiled teaser images and videos of its brand's first pickup truck, the Tasman, on the 16th.
Through the teaser images released that day, Kia emphasized the Tasman's rugged and solid contours and hinted at its versatile usability across various terrains. Along with this, a teaser video was also released, conveying the message that "the new pickup Tasman was completed through relentless challenges."
To develop the Tasman's high-quality features, Kia conducted over 18,000 tests covering 1,777 types during more than four years of development in various regions including South Korea, the United States, Sweden, Australia, and the Middle East. These tests included off-road specialized performance, durability, R&H (Ride & Handling), trailing stability, and water fording, among others.
Kia expects to continue its reputation as an "off-road specialist" by incorporating the off-road performance showcased in the Telluride into the Tasman. Kia plans to unveil the Tasman for the first time in the world at the Jeddah Motor Show in Saudi Arabia at 16:00 Korean time on the 29th.
