"Sticker 붙이면 죽여버리겠다" Verbal Abuse
A man in his 30s, a resident of an apartment complex, is causing public outrage after verbally abusing a security guard in his 60s for placing a parking violation sticker on his car.
On the 15th, JTBC's 'Incident Commander' revealed the story of informant A, who works at the security office of an apartment complex in Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi Province. According to A, while working the early morning shift on the 11th, someone repeatedly knocked on the security office door.
When the door opened, resident B shouted, "XX (expletive), come out!" and struck A, who was sitting, on the chin before trying to drag him outside. When A refused, saying, "I cannot leave my post. Don’t swear and speak here," B yelled, "My car, XX! Why are you putting stickers on it? Don’t talk nonsense and don’t put stickers on my car." He continued, "I told you not to put stickers on my car, so why do you keep doing it? If you put another one on, I’ll kill you," spewing abusive language. This happened after management staff placed a sticker on B’s vehicle asking for cooperation with parking order.
According to A, B has frequently clashed with the management office over parking issues. Because B often parked in places that obstructed traffic, such as the underground parking entrance, management staff placed parking cones to prevent this. However, these measures were ineffective, and staff eventually attached parking violation warning stickers to B’s vehicle four times. B is known to own a luxury SUV from a high-end foreign brand.
B reportedly protested, saying, "Some households have multiple cars. They should reduce their cars, so why don’t you recognize my right when I only have one? Protect me too, who comes home late." He also claimed, "It costs 300,000 won to remove the parking sticker. The management staff should pay half, 150,000 won."
The management office stated, "After the incident, B contacted us expressing a desire to talk with A, but the victims are still fearful and refuse contact." Regarding this, A said, "It hurts my heart to have heard insults from someone young enough to be my child, and my heart still trembles."
Netizens who read the story responded with various comments such as, "They should reveal his identity," "Would he have dared hit the security guard if he was a strong man in his 30s?" "How can it cost 300,000 won to remove a sticker?" and "He should be reported to the police for assault."
