RnT Technology Supplies Autonomous Driving Parts to China... "Orders for China in Progress"

R&Techno, a company specializing in ceramic materials and components, announced on the 16th that it will supply couplers to a Chinese manufacturer specializing in Inertial Navigation Systems (INS).

Inertial Navigation Systems are essential devices that provide real-time information on position, speed, and direction for driver assistance systems and autonomous vehicles. The Chinese INS manufacturer, which R&Techno has designated as its supply destination, holds a dominant position in the Chinese INS market. Through this contract, R&Techno plans to begin supplying couplers to the manufacturer in earnest starting in 2025. The INS equipped with couplers will be used by Chinese global electric vehicle manufacturers. Currently, R&Techno’s couplers are supplied to the largest automotive electronic parts company in Korea, having already proven their product quality.

An R&Techno representative stated, “It is known that up to 10 or more INS units are used per autonomous vehicle,” and added, “Considering the growth rate of the Chinese autonomous driving market, we expect sales of couplers for INS to expand significantly.”

Meanwhile, this month R&Techno obtained the internationally accredited automotive quality management system certification 'IATF16949.' The certified ceramic powder has been registered as an electronic component with major customers in Taiwan and China. An R&Techno representative said, “The ceramic powder is scheduled to be used as a material for wireless communication components in customers’ vehicles starting in 2025,” and added, “Accordingly, related sales of ceramic powder are also expected to increase significantly.”
