Pocheon City Council Discusses Cooperation Measures with City Executive Branch in Current Issues Meeting

Pocheon City Council Discusses Cooperation Measures with City Executive Branch in Current Issues Meeting Pocheon City Council held a current issues meeting on the 14th in the council members' meeting room on the 2nd floor.

The Pocheon City Council in Gyeonggi Province (Chairman Im Jong-hoon) announced on the 15th that it held a briefing session on current issues on the 14th in the council members' meeting room on the 2nd floor, providing an opportunity to communicate and discuss major issues of Pocheon City.

At the briefing session, attended by Chairman Im Jong-hoon and city council members, officials including heads of eight departments such as the Residential Environment Development Department reported on a total of 10 major current issues. Through a Q&A session, they focused on discussing cooperation measures.

In particular, regarding projects closely related to citizens' lives such as the Pocheoncheon Blueway Development Project and the Songuri Ammunition Depot Relocation Site Development Project, the necessity of communication was emphasized to ensure that citizens' opinions are collected and reflected, rather than approaching from an administrative convenience perspective.

Concerning the hosting of the 2025 World Drone Light Show, questions were raised about the actual value-added effects, and a detailed review was requested for the promotion of important projects for Pocheon's development. Additionally, while focusing on reviewing the materials, requests were made to supplement insufficient parts of the reports, urging the preparation of effective measures for the city's long-term development.

Chairman Im Jong-hoon stated, "This was arranged to enhance understanding of related agenda items and major projects the city intends to promote ahead of the 182nd extraordinary session," adding, "The upcoming extraordinary session will review the major achievements of this year's projects and carefully examine next year's key tasks to faithfully fulfill the council's original role for efficient policy implementation."
