BISTEP Hosts ‘River and Sea Guardians! Ssudam Walking’ Event

Environmental Cleanup Activities Along Suyeonggang River... Contribution to Local Community Environmental Improvement with Centum District ESG Council

Busan Institute of Science and Technology Education Promotion (BISTEP) held the “River and Sea Guardians! Sseudam Walking” event on the 14th to contribute to creating a clean and pleasant local environment.

BISTEP Hosts ‘River and Sea Guardians! Ssudam Walking’ Event BISTEP is holding the 'River and Sea Guardians! Ssudam Walking' event and taking a commemorative photo.

The “River and Sea Guardians! Sseudam Walking” event was planned to improve the local community environment and raise awareness of environmental protection through an environmental cleanup activity, walking about 8 km along the Suyeong River starting from APEC Naru Park while picking up trash.


In addition to BISTEP executives and employees, nine organizations belonging to the Centum District ESG Council, including APEC Climate Center, BEXCO, Busan Design Promotion Agency, Busan Film Commission, Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, Korean Film Council, Small and Medium Business Corporation, Korea Press Foundation Busan Branch, and Korea Youth Counseling & Welfare Institute, participated together to create a consensus on sustainable environment.


BISTEP continuously conducts social contribution activities such as “Sseudam Walking” and “Junior Dabaksa” in cooperation with the local community and related organizations.


Seo Yong-cheol, Director of BISTEP, said, “It was an occasion where many organizations participated together to raise awareness of the importance of environmental protection in the local community,” and added, “We will continue to make efforts to fulfill the social responsibility of public institutions by promoting various eco-friendly campaigns in the future.”
