On the 15th, the Heukbaek Yorisah production team shared their thoughts on the conclusion of Season 1 and mentioned plans for Season 2 in an interview with the media. Previously, Netflix announced that "Heukbaek Yorisah Season 2 has been confirmed" and that production has begun aiming for a release in the second half of next year. PD Kim Hak-min said, "While preparing Heukbaek Yorisah, the thing I wanted to hear the most was to be told to release Season 2, so I am grateful and happy that it has become a reality," adding, "Although nothing has been concretely decided yet, it seems that judges Baek Jong-won and Ahn Seong-jae, who appeared as judges in Season 1, are positively considering returning."
Writer Mo Eun-seol emphasized, "When I heard that 100 chefs would gather, I thought viewers would expect grandeur and diversity," and added, "We worked hard to include new elements to meet those expectations." PD Kim Eun-ji explained, "Chefs believe that cooking only has meaning when there are customers who eat it," and said, "We are currently at the stage of receiving feedback on the program. Based on this, I think the uncomfortable parts will be corrected in Season 2."

Finally, writer Mo stated, "The top priority for recruitment in Season 2 is Gordon Ramsay," and added, "Since he has appeared as a judge on many broadcast programs, we thought it might be interesting for him to participate as a contestant this time, so we contacted Gordon Ramsay Korea simultaneously with the release of Season 1."
Gordon Ramsay is a British star chef who has gained widespread popularity through various shows such as Hell's Kitchen and Kitchen Nightmares. In particular, on the reality program Hell's Kitchen, he attracted attention for his devilish persona, unhesitatingly using harsh language and insults toward competing chefs. He opened the restaurant Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea, London in 1997 and has been operating it for about 27 years. The restaurant received three Michelin stars in 2001, four years after opening, and has maintained this rating ever since. In South Korea, Gordon Ramsay Burger operates in the Lotte World Tower Mall.
Meanwhile, Heukbaek Yorisah is a variety show depicting a culinary class war among 100 chefs, where the underdog "Heuksujeo" chefs, who are highly praised for their taste, challenge the top star chefs known as "Baeksujeo" in South Korea. Upon release, it ranked first in the non-English TV series category in South Korea on Netflix and entered the top 10 in 28 countries including Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Since then, each new episode release has sparked significant online buzz, gaining a syndrome-level popularity.
