Yeongju Architectural Society Provides Customized Consulting and Design Support for Private Autonomous Housing Maintenance Needs
On the 15th, Yeongju City in Gyeongbuk signed a business agreement with the Yeongju Architects Association at Yeongju City Hall to successfully promote the ‘New-Village National Subsidy Project’ near Homeplus in Hucheon 2-dong.
‘New-Village’ is one of the three major innovation tasks announced by the government last March, aimed at supporting private autonomous housing maintenance in old low-rise residential areas where full redevelopment is difficult.
The government provides up to 15 billion KRW to create apartment-level convenience facilities (such as sports facilities and libraries) and infrastructure (such as parking lots and roads) in the target area, and offers various benefits to encourage private participation in housing maintenance.
Under this agreement, the Yeongju Architects Association will support customized consulting reflecting residents’ opinions, design, and permit work during private autonomous housing maintenance within the project area, and establish a cooperative system with Yeongju City to promote the project.
The city completed the application for the Hucheon 2-dong New-Village project contest to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport on the 8th of this month, and if selected within this year, plans to invest a total of 25 billion KRW over the next five years to develop infrastructure and convenience facilities and support private autonomous housing maintenance in the Hucheon 2-dong area.
Mayor Park Nam-seo said, “Through this agreement, we have laid the foundation for the successful promotion of the New-Village project based on public-private cooperation,” adding, “We will do our best to ensure that the autonomous housing maintenance project spreads throughout the region in the future.”
