Industrial Bank of Korea Provides 'M&A Practical Training' for Client Companies in Busan and Gyeongnam Regions

On the 15th, Korea Development Bank announced that it conducted an 'M&A Practical Training Program' for executives and employees of client companies in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions at the 'KDB NextONE Busan' IR Center.

Considering the regional circumstances where it is difficult to access educational opportunities on M&A, this was the first M&A practical training program conducted by the bank targeting executives and employees of local companies. A total of 52 executives and employees responsible for finance and strategic planning from 34 companies located in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions participated in the program.

The program, consisting of four lectures on an overview of M&A operations, M&A-related laws, financial due diligence and valuation, and M&A acquisition financing, featured M&A experts as instructors, including Lee Yong-woon, Head of the M&A Consulting Office at Korea Development Bank, Kim Myung-kyun, Head of the Global M&A Team, Lee Sung-hoon, Chief Attorney at Baker McKenzie and KL Partners, and Kim Ji-san, Partner at Samil Accounting Corporation.

Kim Young-jin, Vice President of Korea Development Bank (Regional Growth Division), said, "Through this M&A practical training, we hope that companies in the Busan and Gyeongnam regions will not only enter new businesses but also enhance the global competitiveness of the regional economy through green transition and digital transformation."

Korea Development Bank plans to conduct M&A practical training for executives and employees of client companies in the Gwangju and Honam regions within this year, in addition to the Busan and Gyeongnam regions.
