Gongju City to Provide Injury Insurance Premium Support for Social Welfare Workers

On the 15th, Gongju City in Chungnam announced that it will provide support for accident insurance premiums to improve the working conditions of social welfare workers.

The support will be provided to 2,796 people at 130 institutions, with the city covering the personal contribution of 10,000 won. The coverage period is until October 1 next year.

The insurance covers up to 30 million won for accidental death, 30 million won for accidental disability, 20,000 won per day for accidental hospitalization, 150,000 won per case for accidental fracture diagnosis, 200,000 won per case for accidental burn diagnosis, and 500,000 to 5 million won per case for accidental medical support.

A city official said, "We are supporting the personal contribution for accident insurance enrollment to ensure a safer working environment for social welfare workers," and added, "We will continue to make greater efforts to improve the treatment of workers."
