Sacheon City Hall Women's Basketball Team Advances to Semifinals of the 105th National Sports Festival

The women’s basketball team of Sacheon City Hall in Gyeongnam represented Gyeongnam in the women’s general division of the 105th National Sports Festival and advanced to the semifinals by overwhelming Jeonnam 77:46 in the quarterfinals.

The semifinal opponent for Sacheon City Hall’s women’s basketball team is Seodaemun District Office, representing Seoul.

Sacheon City Hall’s women’s basketball team has been maintaining its growth momentum based on the energy of young players and the leadership of a former professional coach, and is regarded as a strong contender aiming for the championship in this sports festival as well.

Seodaemun District Office recently demonstrated strong skills by winning the 2024 National Business Basketball Federation Championship, making the upcoming match so intense that it is being called a “preview of the final.”

Coach Kim Seunghwan said, “Seodaemun District Office is a strong team, but we are also fully prepared to compete through the stamina and teamwork of our young players. We will definitely advance to the final.”

Meanwhile, the semifinal match against the strong Seodaemun District Office will be held at 11 a.m. on the 16th at Sacheon City Samcheonpo Gymnasium.
