RaonSecure's blockchain-based digital badge service, ‘OmniOne Badge,’ has been issued as diplomas to graduates of Chung-Ang University.
IT security and authentication platform company RaonSecure (CEO Lee Soon-hyung, Lee Jung-ah) announced that Chung-Ang University issued diplomas to undergraduate graduates of August 2024 using RaonSecure’s blockchain-based digital credentialing tool, the ‘OmniOne Badge.’
The Chung-Ang University diplomas based on the OmniOne Badge were issued to approximately 1,500 graduates of August 2024. Graduates can link the diplomas issued through the OmniOne Badge to social media or portfolio management services to conveniently register their educational history and utilize it for career management and job hunting activities.
Previously, Chung-Ang University introduced the OmniOne Badge last year and has been issuing it for various student achievements such as industry-academia cooperation programs and completion of extracurricular online courses. Earlier this year, acceptance certificates for new and transfer students were also issued through the OmniOne Badge, and the university plans to expand digital badge issuance by utilizing the OmniOne Badge in various educational programs going forward.
The OmniOne Badge provides highly reliable and secure credential authentication using blockchain technology, which is difficult to forge or tamper with. It is offered as a Software as a Service (SaaS), allowing digital badges to be issued without building an internal system. It can be used for various purposes such as educational credentials, awards, licenses, and guarantees. Not only universities but also public institutions and companies can utilize the OmniOne Badge for credential issuance.
Jong-moon Park, Head of Service Business Division at RaonSecure, said, "The OmniOne Badge can have diverse applications in university life, and we will continue to support universities and expand linked services with partner companies to foster talent innovation and connect it to employment."
