40,000 Prospective Parents Attend... Positive Response to Childcare Expert's Lecture on 'Child Brain Development'
Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 14th that it held the 'Baby Booming Festival' for prospective parents and caregivers visiting the exhibition hall at the '79th KOBE Baby Fair & Early Childhood Education Exhibition,' which took place over four days from the 10th to the 13th at KINTEX in Goyang.
The 'Baby Booming Festival,' organized by Goyang City, was filled with various programs for babies and families.
Throughout the exhibition period, a promotional hall showcasing Goyang City's childbirth policies at a glance and a photo zone for creating beautiful memories were operated. On weekends, when the number of visitors was highest, a renowned childcare expert was invited to give a lecture on the topic of 'Child Brain Development.'
In particular, the expert lecture was very popular, with many prospective parents showing great interest and participating in advance. During the Q&A session following the lecture, many parents stayed to demonstrate their enthusiasm for child education.
The 'Baby Booming Festival' was held at the 'KOBE Early Childhood Education Exhibition,' a large-scale childcare exhibition held two to three times annually at KINTEX, providing various baby products and childcare-related information. Nearly 50,000 prospective parents attend each event, and this exhibition was also recorded to have attracted over 40,000 visitors.
A city official stated, "We plan to actively utilize such large-scale exhibitions in the future to continue various promotional activities to overcome low birth rates."
