Dongducheon City Conducts Safety Training for Construction Equipment Operators

Dongducheon City conducted safety training for construction machinery operators on the 12th at the Dongducheon Citizens' Hall, organized by the Korea Construction Machinery Association.

Dongducheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Park Hyung-deok) announced on the 14th that it conducted safety training for construction machinery operators on the 12th at the Dongducheon Citizens' Hall, organized by the Korea Construction Machinery Association.

The safety training for construction machinery operators is a mandatory education required every three years under Article 31 of the Construction Machinery Management Act. Operators who fail to complete the safety training may be fined up to 1 million KRW when operating construction machinery.

This training was held locally to accommodate construction machinery operators who are not accustomed to visiting cities like Uijeongbu or Goyang or taking online courses to complete their safety education.

The training lasted 4 hours in the morning and 4 hours in the afternoon, focusing on preventing safety accidents, including the structure of construction machinery, understanding related laws, work safety, and disaster prevention.

A city official stated, “We hope that this safety training for construction machinery operators will help create safer construction sites, and that operators will not suffer disadvantages such as fines due to failure to complete the safety training.”
