Yeongju Launches 'Hospital Visit Companion Service for Sick Children'

Free One-Stop Service for Pickup, Hospital Escort, and Return Home... Seamless and Comprehensive Care

Yeongju City, North Gyeongsang Province, will launch the "Sick Child Hospital Visit Companion Service" on the 14th, aimed at families experiencing childcare gaps such as dual-income households. This service provides an escort for children during hospital visits.

The Sick Child Hospital Visit Companion Service is a support program designed to ease the burden on families who have difficulty caring for their children due to dual-income situations or other reasons. Care personnel accompany the child throughout the entire process, from pick-up and hospital visit to returning home.

The service is available to children aged 4 to 12 who reside in Yeongju City and belong to dual-income families, single-parent working households, or families with two or more children. It can be used for non-contagious minor illnesses or when a prescription is needed.

The service is available on weekdays from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with applications accepted until 4:00 p.m. The service itself is free of charge, but hospital and prescription costs must be covered by the family.

To apply, users must register as a member on the "Moiso Gyeongsangbuk-do" app and enter personal information, appointment time, and child pick-up location. Once the application is complete, a care teacher will visit the child with a dedicated vehicle and accompany them to the hospital or clinic designated by the parents within the city.

Mayor Park Namseo stated, "We are launching this Sick Child Hospital Visit Companion Service to alleviate the difficulties families face when their child suddenly falls ill. We will continue to build a seamless and thorough care system to make Yeongju a great place to have and raise children."
